Description: Illinois streams based primarily on the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) which have been assigned an assessment unit ID (AUID) by the Illinois EPA. The coverage provides the geographical basis upon which stream segments are delineated and to which Illinois EPA's use attainment assessments apply. While most of the coverage is based on the NHD it also contains a few stream segments not currently part of the NHD. Line segments through some but not all lakes for which use attainment assessments apply are also identified.
