The Illinois Elevation Finder is a GIS application built with ESRI web based GIS components. It was developed by Paul Osman, David Mick and Mark McCauley of the Office of Water Resources.

This application utilizes GIS web sevices provided by the Illinois State Geological Survey.

The ISGS was also instrumental in the collection coordination and managment of the LiDAR elevation data used by the application.


      The application also utilizes GIS web services provided by FEMA to display and query Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) information.
